Punctuation Command for Period

I have used Braina for a few years now. I have always been able to say "period" for the end of a sentence.  All of a sudden, I have to say "full stop." Why was this change made?  Is it possible to go back to saying "period" for a period?  (If I do it as a shortcut command, it does not capitalize the first word of the next sentence.)

You can create a voice recognition alias. In alias name enter "period". In alias value enter "." (without quotes)
