Microphone timeout for dictation

Does the microphone time out on Braina? I have a problem with Microsoft word dictate turning the mic off after 5 seconds and windows dictate turning it off after 10. My hands don't work well so turning it back on with a mouse isn't easy for me.

The good thing about Dragon was the 'go to sleep' and 'wakeup' commands.

I'm looking for a dragon alternative now that it's $1000, hope this is it.

Microphone doesn't time out on Braina. It works continuously unless you give stop listening command.
